The influenza epidemic continues No fewer than fifteen deaths, directly traceable to influenza, are known t have occurred in Auckland on Saturday and to-day. There are also probably other death. l that have not yet been reported. Three deaths have occurred in one house at Newton. The police broke into a house it Cook street to-day and found there ; man and his wife, both seriously il from the complaint. They were n since Friday and had had no medical attendance. 'When the ambulance arrived the man was dead. The Narrow Neck Military Camp if now generally affected. One native soldier is dead there. SPREADING FROM AUCKLAND. WELLINGTON, Nov. 3. The steamer Monowni, from Auckland direct, arrived at Wellington this morning. She brought twenty oases <>| influenza amongst tho crew. Captain Drewette, commander, who was suffering frofli “La Grippe at Auckland, iinsisted on remaining on fluty. He developed pneumonia on route. He line been taken to the hospital. The other jpases are not serious.
