APPLICATIONS for employment m home service in the following capacities are invited from men between the ages of 19 and 50: Bakers, Motor Drivers, Bandsmen, Musketry Fatigue Men, Blacksmiths, Musketry Instructors, Bootmakers, Orderlies, Butchers, Painters, Camp Police, Saddlers, Canteen Attendants Sanitary Men, Carpenters, Sanitary Police. Clerks for Camps, Storemen, Clerks for offices in towns, Cooks, Tinsmiths, Drivers (horse), 'Trumpeters Farriers, lypists, Guards for Internment Camps, etc., Garrison Artillerymen. Labourers, Veterinary Grooms, Military Police, o. Applications cannot be entertained from men of the following categories : (a) Those under orders for camp, (b) Those whose appeals have been adjourned sine die. (c) Those who have been called up in the ballot and have not boen medically examined. • (d) Those employed in the Public Service or in industries essential to the State’s interest. 3. Successful applicants will be required to pass a medical examination and will then be posted to the Expeditionary Force. Home Service Branch. i)\\t will be transferred to the Foreign Service Branch upon becoming eligible for active service under the Military Service Act. 4. While employed on home seivice the rates of pay and allowances of private soldiers will be as under: (a) If employed in camps or barracks 5/- per day with lodging, and rations. (b) If employed outside camps ui 'barracks 57- per day. with 4/- per day in lien of lodgings and rations. (c) A married allowance of 1/- per day.
