POLLARD’S? PICTURES.

To-morrow night (Thursday) Pollards will present at the Princess Theatre a great programme that features the marvellous child actress Madge Evans, in the World film’s great play “ The Adventures of Carrol,” the 4th episode of ‘‘The Neglected Wife,” and the last chapter of “ A Lass of the Lumberlands.” Madge Evans has every opportunity as the “ lost girl ” who will not give her name or address for fear of betraying her father who is a naval officer and haunted by spies. Madge Evans was, for a time, a pupil of Bavlova, the world’s greatest dancer, and at times we get glimpses of the young actress dancing quaint steps to the tune of a barrel organ. The film is remarkable for its wonderful photography and charming scenes of New York.

Mr John Holmes, Seddon Street, Kumara says:—“For some time I had a lot to put up with owing to my bad? being very stiff and always aching. I knew the trouble was caused by my kidneys, as I had several other symptoms that clearly showed these organs were not working properly. One day I saw an advertisement for Doan’s Backache Kidney' Pills, so I got some to try them.
