IMPERIAL CONFERENCE RECORDS.

It includes a summary of the discussions previously unpublished and recapitulates the resolution cabled in Juno and July. Tile principal difference relates towards the All Red Cable resolution, which as cabled on tho 20th July merely emphasised the reduction of the telegraphic rate between Britain and the Dominions,. The version now published contains the following addendum: “In order to secure the cheapest and most secure telegraphic service, it is desirable that. Britain, Canada, Australia and Now Zealand co-operate to provide a state-owned cable across the Atlantic ocean.”

Tho Portuguese newspapers furnish details of an abortive revolution on the night of tli/ 12th. Prompt- Government action was taken, thus suppressing combined military and civilian risings in many districts. There have been numerous arrests amongst leading political democrats.
