The German Reichstag met on Tuesday, when the Imperial Chancellor, Prince Max, of Baden, made a definite statement of the German attitude towards the question of surrendering to the Entente unconditionally. Addressing the Reichstag, Prince Mux s;iid:—Germany x-efuses to make an • unconditional surrender. Germany is anxious for peace, but sho will "continue the fight, rather than acecpt a peace by violence.

NO ALTER ATION. (Received This Dav at 10.35. a.m.l WASHINGTON, Oct. 23. The statement is authorised that the German Note will not alter the President’s decision not to propose an armistice by the Allies, until the Germans evacuate all occupied territory.
