FRENCH CENTRE GAINS. LONDON, Oct. 21. The latest French communique says: To-day we resumed our advance between Oise and Serre Rivers. On our right we carried Mesbrecourt and Ricbo court. We advanced on the left between Lucy and Villers Le Sec, despite violent resistance. The Germans frequently heavily counter-attacokd on the plateau east of Vouzieros (on the Aisne), but all our positions were maintained .
