A Palestine official report states: — At the occupation of Beirut, on the Bth wo prisonpred sixty Turkish officers, and six hundred men, and took an armoured ear and batteries. We entered Baalbek on tho ninth, and ascertained that 500 Turks had survendered to the. inhabitants. Our advanced cavalry and armoured cars occupied further positions without opposition.
