The “Times” Buenos Aires correspondent reports to-day that German firms have been advised that the war will end in 1918, and to prepare for extensive trade co-operation. The Allied measures says the correspondent, have large lv weakened Gorman influence in the Argentine, where friendly neittral firms readily guarantee not to trade with Germany.

Four camps near Berlin, they state are filled with soldiers who have been interned for refusing '<< go to the front. Almost all the Germans who conversed with the Britisers declared that they were resolved to emigrate, especially to England, after the war, as Germany would he unable to support her population, owing to heavy taxation and industrial depression.
