A Belgian communique reports Frat:-co-Bclgians on the 3rd advanced the line two kilometres and reached the outskirts of IToogJede, also the HoogledeRoulers road. Tlicro was a violent enemy counter attack eastward of Rorders which was smashed before reaching our lines. During October 2nd a Belgian armoured car daringly crossed the German lines and entered Renders despite heavy enemy fire from all sides. The car subsequent returned through the German positions and reached our lines. __________
