FRENCH ADVANCE. LONDON, Oct. 3. The French advance above the Vosle in lihcims region continues. West of Reims they ave taken Pouillon, Thil. and part of Villers Franquex. They liqvo also got -Masif of St. Thierry. Referring to this advance the “Morning Post's” correspondent states thatthe loss of St. Theirry Massif and fortdefinitely frees Rheinis from the risk of German aggressions. An afternoon French communique states: North of the Vesle River we are continuing our advance. Wo havecaptured Livro. lif ihe region of Neuvillotte a violent German counterattack was resultless. In Hie Champagne, fights continued Inst evening. We captured Clialleraugo. The Germans made powerful efforts to throw us out of the woods south-oast of Orfeuil, where wo penetrated thrice. Their assaults were shattered. We have maintained all our gains and have inflicted heavy losses. j Our attack was resumed at daybreak f this morning. ;•
