The total of ' Australia’s war expenditure, out ot loan and revenue, up to the end of the vear 1018-19, would be £2tv1, 040,-608. 'lhe war loans totalled £‘235.128,486. Mr, Watt intimated that new taxes will include a 30 per increase in the income tax; and a half-penny postage tax. There would also be additional entertainment, customs, excise, and bachelor taxes. j
