WESTLAND TROTTING CLUB.

The annual meeting of the Club was held at the Post Office Hotel Club Room last evening, when there was a fair number of members present—Mr McGregor (President) occupying the chair.

The minutes of last annual meeting were read and confirmed, and tlm annual report and balance-sheet were 'tad and adopted. The election of the new committee resulted as follows: viz., Messrs F. McGregor, O. J. P. Sellers, H. A. Thompson, R. Fane, H. Rutland, W. J. Pritchard, A. W. Yarrall, ,T. J. Jones G. Haussmann, M. Houston, J. J.’Mclntosh and W. Keller.

A meeting of the new committeeo was held immediately after the annual meeting, when officials were appointed as follows:—President, Mr F. McGregor ; Vice-President, Mr W. Kei'er; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr M. Houston; Auditor, Mr G. Haussmann; Judgo, Mr McGregor; Deputy-Judge. Mr D. J. Evans; Clerk of Course, Mr R. Fane; Clerk of Scales, Mr J. Jones; Assistant Clerk of Scales, Mr C. J. P. Sellers; Time-keepers, Messrs Pritchard, Haussmann and Houston ;* Starter, Mr JT. Rutland; Check Starter; Mr H. A. Thompson; Judicial Committee, Messrs W. E. Williams, D. 'C. J. P. Sellers, G. Haussmann -ml J. J. Mclntosh; Hamlicaper, Mr J. Noble. A programme of seven events was drawn up for the trotting meeting to be held on Thursday, 9tli January, 1919, and it was decided that the stake | money be fixed at £450. i It. was arranged that ' nominations close on 20th December at 5 p.m., handicaps to be declared Saturday, 4th January, 1919, at 7 p.m., and acceptances to close on Monday, 6th January at 8 p.m. It, was resolved that each member of the committee be asked to make special efforts to obtain new members, as the financial membership of the Club is not as good as it might be.
