The crew served the steamer’s gun until nil except the steamer’s gunner were hors de combat. Tim submarine ranged alongside, when the gunner hurled a bomb at her and sank the submarine. The latter’s crew entered a collapsible boat and attempted to board the steamer, hut thp gunner, with a second bomb killed all hut three who were allowed to board her, but were secured below deck. The vessel was towed to port.
