DENT. TAUMARUNUJ, This Day. j A man named Kitto was shockingly mutilated by an explosion at Okahu tunnel yesterday. He had one eye blown clean out and was totally blind. He died in the hospital this morning. Horthwiek another man suffered injuries to his face with pellets ol papa, like shots from a gun. Both eves are injured and at present he is blind and may become permanently so. He lias no body injuries. There are two stories of tho accident. One is that in drilling the men struck the main charge, and the other that the charge misfired and they went to i n vestiga te.
