A Serbian official statement received at tiio Serbian Legation from the Macedonian front says:— ‘-Wo have repulsed a number of violent counter-attacks in the Kozialc region. German troops sent to aid the Bulgarians were put to flight. W o continue to advance along the whole front. The prisoners exceed 1000, and moro than 20 guns have been captured.
GAINING TERBITO.nY. LONDON, September 20. Th 9 Allies on the Macedonian front have retaken 375 square miles of territory in four days, despite the fact 'that tho country is mountainous and roadless. It will be difficult for the enemy forces to regain cohesion during the retreat.
ADVANCE. AT LAKE DOIRAN. LONDON, September 20. A British Salonika official message states that the British and Greeks at five in' the morning of the 18th attacked westward and eastward of Lake Doiran. They captured westward of the the town of Prenchauttom and I southward of the Lake another town, advancing tho lino about 5000 yards. Heavy Bulgarian counter-attacks regained part of the ground captured the left, but the position in the centre and on the right were well maintained. Eastward of tho Lake after a night advance tho Allies carried the enemy’s outpost line. Upwards of seven hundred prisoners were counted. The Greeks fought with great gallantry.
SERBIANS STILL ADVANCE. NEW YORK, Sep. 20. FURTHER SERBIAN GAINS. LONDON, Sep. 21. A Serbian eommuniquo states: Our advance continues. We passed the line at Blatet, Tchemeske, and Belaslniitza. The enemy has evacuated the Cerna river, and we arc now crossing to the left bank. Tho Bulgarians are burning stores in the camps. The prisoners exceed 5,000 in addition to those already mentioned. Ten guns have been captured, mostly heavies, also quantities of material, and several villages have been captured. A french REPORT. LONDON, Sep. 21. A French eastern communique reports: Despite lively resistance our offensive between the Cerna and Vardar rivers progressed. On the 19th the Allied cavalry reached the region of PolotskO. The (Serbians reached tho left bank of the Cerna in the region of Duinve, and progressed towards Konopifitej across most difficult ground, separating' Belashuitza from Besliava. The Franco-Greeks carried .the village of Tussine and Monte at the foot of' Dyema. We captured a total of 90 guns. .. . The Anglo-Greek offensive in the region of Doiran is progressing despite violent counter-attacks. ADVANCE OF 17 MILES. NEW YORK, Sep. 20. The Franco-Serbian forces have advanced 17 miles. Up 'to the present they have captured 5,000 prisoners.
