FOOTBALL There was a large attendance at the football match, Old Bovs v. Southern Division, on Cass Square on Saturday afternoon and the onlookers were awarded by an excellent exhibition of Rugby football. It was thought that the younger players with good form would run the older ones off their feet, but the result was otherwise. The “has boons’’ gave a splendid display and completely beat, their younger rivals in every department of the game. They obtained the ball in nearly every serum and some good passing was the result, and good tries were secured by J. Henderson and Hogan, but neither was converted. Halliday for the Southern Division Reps got a clear opening and scored a trv which was not converted and tlie first spell ended “Old Boys 6, Southern Division Hops 3. Tn the second half the Old Boys gave the younger players no chance and they added two more tries, scored by G. Taimii and Goudie, Houston converting the former. In a rush by the Reps, L. Ross obtaining tbc ball and being hotly pursued by the Old Boys potted a nice goal. Shortly after “no side” was sounded and the Old Boys won by 11 points to 7. Mr. Christie was referee.
