WELLINGTON, Aug. 27. The High Commissioner reports from London September 12th at 1 p.m. Sir Douglas Haig reports Attilly, Vermand and Vonlielles were captuicd. We have crossed the canal du Nord northwestward of Havrincourt and established ourselves in the west hank eastward and northward of Moeuiios..
BRITISH PROGRESS. 'LONDON, September 12
Sir Douglas’ Haig reports: Attilly Vermand and Vendelles have been captured hv us. These positions are directly fronting St. Quentin. Further north, 'the British have crossed the canal du Nord, northwestward of Havrincourt, which is now ours.
AVe have established ourselves on the west bank of the canal, oastwaru nnd northward of Moeuvros (directly fronting Cambrai, and about five miles westward). . # The attack lV>f«vo Cambrai, round Moeuvrcs, is being made by General Hyiig’s army.
