The various classes of the difleivnt sections are well arranged, and give the opportunity for old and young to take part. Competitions of the character proposed have an educating side, and those who compete will find it to their improving advantage. A note of patriotism is struck also in the works suggested for treatment, for it is well to cultivate a national spirit, and to regard one’s country and its wellare with feelings of fealty. As announced already, entries lor all the classes close to-morrow night. The event is now less than three weeks away and will be awaited with interest by the public who will derive « very pleasurable form of entertainment from the Patriotic Competitions.
