WEDDING BELLS.

The marriage was celebrated at St. Alary’s Church Hokitika on Monday by the Rev. Father Riordan of Ross of Mr Patrick Nolan, a well known settler of Okuru, and son of Mrs A. Nolan ot ’ Hokitika and Miss Johanna Eggeling daughter of Mr and Mrs August Eggeling of Okuru. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr Fred Eggeling wore a handsome ivory crepe de chine dress with a veil, and orang«blossoms, and carried a beautiful prayer book, tho gift of Rev. Father Riordan. Miss Margaret Nolan attended the bride as bridesmaid wearing a pale pink silk dress with hat to match. Mr A. Dale was best man. The wedding party adjourned to Preston’s Tea Rooms, where a short toast list was,honoured, the happy couple leaving for their honeymoon which is being spent in Canterbury. They wore the recipients of valuable presents including many cheques, and will have the good wishes of many friends for their future happiness. A popular wedding was celebrated this morning at 10 o’clock at St. Mary’s Church, Hokitika, when Mr Michael Clarence O’Driscoll, son of the late Mr J. O’Driscoll, of Cape Foulwind, "Westport', a returned soldier, was united to Miss’ Dorothy Annie, fifth daughter of Mr and Mrs George Lakin, of Brittain Street. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a pretty navy serge costume and saxo tagel straw hat trimmed with pink roses. She carried an ivory prayer book the gift of the bridesmaid, with satin streamers and spray of orange blossoms. Miss Eileen Lakin attended her sister as bridesmaid, wearing an embroidered voile and silk tulle hat, and carried a prayer book with satin streamers. The bridegroom was attended by Rifleman Albeit Graham as best man. The Rev. Father Clancy tied tho nuptial knot. The wedding breakfast was held at. Preston s tearooms. The happy couple were the recipients of many valuable present. The bride’s gift to the bridegroom was a travelling rug and tho bridegroom gave the bride and bridesmaid crescent brooches set with pearls. Tho honeymoon will be spent in the north.
