POLLARD’S PICTURES. MRS VERNON CASTLE. On Monday evening Pollards present at the Princess Theatre the great artist and beauty, Irene Castle (Mrs Vernon Castle), the most piquant ot stage artists as Sylvia Carroll of the Secret Service Detective Force in the Pathe super-feature “ Sylvia of the Secret Service.” Mrs Vernon Castle has the reputation of being the artist who taught the world to dress and dance. She is the last word in daintiness and distinction of wonderful fashionable flocking and screen personality, The melo drama is a brilliant, exciting, sparkling play of frocks aud frills, and surprises that tumble out of the screen one after another, and all through them speeds the graceful bewitching lithe figure of the best dressed figure in the world, Irene Castle. The Bth series of the “History of the War” pictures the scenes attending the invasion of Galicia, Fall of Lemberg, Wounded of Three Nations, and the Fall of Antwerp.
