Before the Military Service Board, today the Southland Education Board appealed for six teachers, adducing strong evidence that no further depletion in the ranks of Second Division teachers should be made. larger schools and probable closing of some of the smaller schools was inevitable if the drain of certificated and experienced teachers continued in the granting of conditional exemption. Mr Foreman said that the matter of appealing should not be left to the Education Boards, the Government should be approached with a view to arriving at a definite policy as in the case of miners and fanners.

Tn this case the defendant received milk from a farmer which had been skimmed and retailed it without testing it.
