Quite recently a well-known Gorman spy p;ot permission to visit the British aerodronis. In one week he visited scores of sheds and counted hundreds of new machines. The War Olliec is making no secret of the. fact that our flying men ])ulled the spy’s log for all thev wore worth. One day they showed him over the arodrome that contained a hundred brand new Ilandley-Page machines. In the afternoon he visited another shed some oO miles away and was shown another hundred of . the same machines. Altogether he saw some thousands of Handley-Page and registered the fact tit the moment the Germans were about to launch then big offensive in .March last. He now knows that our men flew t.hoitf machines from one ’drome to another as the spy appeared. In all they made him count the same machines 29 times without showing him the hundreds of big battleplanes housed ;n sheds that he”.was not allowed to go near.
