It is announced that the Battleship Drake, the last flagship on the Aus- , tralian station, has been sunk by a | torpedo from a German submarine. I Nineteen of the crew were killed. j [H.M.S. Drake is a cruiser mul a sister j ship to the Good Hope, sunk in the Coronel Battle in November, 1911., was of 14,000 tons displacement and 21,000 horsepower, and had a speed of 24 knots. Her main armament consisted of 2 9.2 in. and 10 6 inch guns. She was a flagship on the Australian station for several years, | and was built in 1898-99. j
