General Haig reports we prisonered a few in the Ayette sector, also southward of the Scarpe, where our patrols penetrated some distance into the enemy positions. We repulsed raids north ward of the Scar pc and further progressed in Mervillc sector. Our artillery and machine gun fire completely broke up a counter-attack on the new positions between Cuttersten and Meteren.
