VISIT TO THE FRONT. (Received this day at 12.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 14. 1 Tho King has returned to London from a visit to the Western Front. 'Received, This Dav at 8.50. a.m.) LONDON, August 14. The King has spent a strenuous week on the front, covering- hundreds of miles. He left London on the fifth and though the tour was not connect ed with the prospective offensive he saw much of tho operation. Ho visited the King of Belgium, General Haig and General Foch, and also decorated Dabenov with the K.C.B. He saw all the British Army Commanders and insjiected an enormous number of troops of all arms and womens forces . He visited General Pershing and conferred many decorations upon the Americans. He spent Mondnv with the French army and visited tlie hospitals and casualty clearing stations near tho line.
