Messrs Matson am! Co, report as folio ws regarding the above sales on Weil nesday. Fat Cattle.—There was an ordinary yarning, including some very prime liners. There was a good sale. No freezers aero buying as prices were too high. Extra su-rs so id up to £2 0 10s; prime lIS to £2O; light and uulinished, £‘l3 to £IG; cows and heifers L'l2; to ill-!; and up to £IG 10s for extra 1 . Store cattle—There as a wry small entry, mostly of dry cows, which sold at £0 to £9, A. small line of calves sold at £5 4s. Good steers £l3 to £lO ids; but only in small lots, and were hardly a criterion of the market. Store sheep.—A small entry, mostly made up ot inferior quality sheep which sold firm at last week’s rates. Fat sheep.—There was a slightly smaller yarding than last week, but the market was 2s to 3s easier all round. Some real good quality were yarded, including several lines from tlie south. Best wethers sold to 58s lid ; prime 43s to 51s (id; medium 37s to 42s (id; light and graziers 32s Gd to 3Gs. A small entry of ewes but they sold on the same parity as wethers. Best sold to 4(3s 6(1 ; prime 31s to 33s : lighter and inferior, 24s to 29s (id.
