j LONDON, July 23. j The Press Bureau states that the Ministry of Munitions to-night announced that communications had been received to-day from all parts of tho country, indicating that the situation has distinctly improved. Tho majority of the strikers, in all probability will return to work on the 28th. - BACK TO WOR£. | LONDON, July 28th. •\. mass meetng of strikers at Birmingham decided to continue tho strike, hut as tho majority is below tlio necessary two-thirds, the committee subsequently passed a resolution recommending that work be resumed on Monday. , . . . Three thousand Woolwich engineer decided to strike on Tuesday unless the embargo is removed.

(Received this day at 1.39 p.m.) LONDON July 29. Hon. TV. Churchill announced that the Birmingham munition workers bad substantially resumed work and there was a considerable resumption at Coventry. Ho hoped the action in the principal centres would prevent further cessation elsewhere, especially at Woolwicb.
