Three British and one j Belgian were drowned. | The British skipper relates that, a | submarine opened fire with machino- | guns. The Germans boarded and ran- | sacked the trawler and blew her up. I She then captured the Belgian trawler I and placed the crews on the subma- • vine’s deck. When a British patrol boat was sighted, tho submarine submerged without warning, leaving the fishermen to their fate. The survivors were for several, hours in the water before they were picked up.
