RESISTANCE STRENGTHENING !
WASHINGTON July 25. Official despatches from the American , front state that the advance continues slowly. The strengthening of the German resistance is noted. There is no confirmation of the report from London that the British made a sensational gain, though it is known that they are pressing hard towards Fismes.

' Sixtv-four German divisions have been identified separately, including reserves from groups of the Crown Prince’s Army, also Gallwitz, Prince • Ruppreolit’s Albrecht’s, and Wurtem- j burg’s. Nearly a third of the enemy j armies have been engaged. The proved , units are much below the strength ex- ( peeled, and will remain so until Sept- j ember, unless the enemy throws in ( boys, who have not yet been used ex- j tensively. 1 The Germans have prodigally used j storm troops, therefore, their losses are . doubly serious.
ENEMY PRESS ADMISSION
BERNE, July 25
The “Frankfurter Zeitung” says that General Foch’s offensive is not merely an attack on both sides of Rheims, but it is intended to upset General Hindenburg’s entire plan, compelling him to use ui> bis strategic reserves. Hie first part of Foch’s plans, consisting of the stoppage of our offensive has been successful. GERMAN CLAIMS. (Received This Day at 1.20 a.m.) LONDON. July 25. Wireless German official—We repulsed an attack between Bourcquoy, and Ucbuterne, westward of Albert, in fbe vicinity of Maillv . Wo threw back violent attacks south o the Oureq, southwest of Rheims. ALLIES CAPTURES. (Received This Day at 9.25 a.m.) . WASHINGTON, July 26th. The Allies have captured Oulchv-le-Clmtenu and Ville Mortouo.
