CHITLSTCii U.RGII, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding the above sales on Wool nosday. Fat Cattle—Thorn was an ordinary entry, ali classes being represented. Butchers bought practically everything, prices above freezing limits. Extra steers sold to heavy steers sold to £‘27 heavy steers sold to L-7 10s; prime £l7 to £2l; light and unfinished, £1.3 to £ls; cows and heifers £l2 to £lO.

Store cattle.—There was a very small yarding, and poor attendance owing to the weather. A lino of 25 three year old steers made £11; 50 calves, mixed sorts and small, sold at £3 14a; dry cows, £fj 10s to £8 10s. Fiit sheep.—The extreme prices of last week attracted a large entry today, including several lots from the south, consequently the market receded to about tin l same basis as was ruliiig a fortnight ago. Some excellent wethers were yarded making lip to G2s ; others from -Ids to Oils; prime from 30s to 43s Gd ; lighter, 34s 6d to 38s. Very few ewes were offering, hut prices were on the same parity as a fortnight ago. Store sheep.—A. very small entry was made up of a few pens of wethers which sold at prices equal to last week.
