Ex-President Taft, in a speech said : “Wo cannot win the war and save democracy unless we dictate terms to Germany on Gorman soil. TROUBLE WITH MUNITIONERS. f AUSTRALIAN & N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION LONDON, July 20th. The Ministry of Munitions announces that many munition workers at Coventry, and other centres, tendered notices, expiring next week, possibly involving the stoppage of production of some vital appliances and war munitions. The trouble is largely due to a misunderstanding regarding glio distribution of skilled labour at various munition works. After hearing the Ministry of Munitions statement concerning the Government’s anxiety to secure the most economical use and distribution oi labour. the amalgamated engineers urge members to remain at work at this critical juncture.
