ROPING IN SHIRKERS.

A poster is displayed all over Ireland, calling up men who are liable for military service and who are ordinary residents of Britain. If they fail to report at the nearest police station by Wednesday, they will be promptly arrested.

Carson, who supported Lord Londonderry’s resolution asserting that union was necessary for security of the Empire.

The Government recruiting programme in Ireland promises exmption from conscription of any district providing its quota of recruits, even if conscription "is applied to the remainder.
