There are excited demonstrations in Vienna streets ns a result of the details of tho Austrian defeat.
Crowds, including many women shouted : “Bread o'r peace.’’ They advocate the extension of massed strikes and were involved in a serious tight jn which both civilians and police were wounded. It is significant that the military were not called out, the authorities apparently doubting their loyalty.
