HERR KUHIMANN'S SPEECH.
[rER PRESS ASSOCIATION. —COPYRIGHT.! ' A BAI) IMPRESSION. * (Received This Dnv nt 12 25. nr- > ► LONDON, June 26th. The “Daily Express” Amsterdam correspondent adds: — Kuhlrannn’s
speech created a gloomy impression. He satisfied no one and disappointed the Pacifists, particularly, for there has i never been a flood of peace talk in Gorr many as now. Even the militarists writers recognise that the re-establish* meat of Belgium must be conceded . The “Tageblatt” declares an understanding with the Entente is essential. It urges the creation of a League of Nations whereto the world’s future belongs.
PRESS COMMENT. (Received This Dnv at 1.5. p.m.) LONDON, June 26th. The pewspapers draw attention to Kuhlmann’s admission that the war can not be reached by purely military decisions. The striking of a now note in the enemy’s official oratory shows tho latrine of force, is losing gtound in Germany. The Daily Telegraph is of opinion the speech, with its promise of an indefinite continuation of the war and its restatement of Germany’s arrogant . terms, will prove the precursor of Kuh- | lmann’s dismissal.
