MILITARY SERVICE BOARD.
SITTING AT HOKITIKA MONDAY JUNE 24th. The Board sat at 10. a.m.—Present —Messers J. S. Evans, S.M. (Chairman) J. D. Milton, A'. E. Robbins. Captain Colclough was also present. The following appeals were dealt with Thomas Henry Kenning, Hokitika. A. Appellant said he was a locomotive driver at Perry’s mill. He had no other grounds of appeal. G. A. Perry gave avidence. that appellant was a locomotive driver, and been working from 10 to 12 years. He was their most efficient brakesman the line being a very difficult one to work. ' Adjjourned for repprt. Jack MaynihaiPand Matthew Moynihan, Kokatahi, both A. (Mr Murdoch). -Mrs Moynihan (mother) gave evidence in furtherance of previous statements. —Adjourned sine die. Robert Lynn, Ruatapu ; appellant stated lie had two children.—Appeal allowed to be placed in Class C.
Rudolph T. Louisch, Arahura, A. ; appellant stated ho was asking for financial assistance . He has one brother in first division, and one in sej cond. Parents wore Austrian. Was 31 | years of age. Adjourned for enquiries as to whether authorities will tako him. James K. McKey Ross, A. (Mr Murdoch, J. K. McKey (father) was present in support of statement handed in. Appellant also gave evidence. Adjourned for report. George R. Northcroft, Wfttaroa, A. Appellant asked for extension of time till Christmas. Had four brothers, one serving and tile other three were in Africa.
