An article of immediate importance to -Australians is one in the “Fortnightly Review” called “Tbe Sideshows in the AVur,” by Archibald Hurd. Mr Hurd is a very strong opponent of the school which thinkjs that every effort not made on the Western Front has been wasted. ITe takes each of the minor expeditions and very pertinently asks what would have happened to the Britsh Empire if any of them had been omitted.
