Tho “Kreiz Zeitung” states Germany has released Hungary from the compact to supply potatoes, which will he diverted to Austria. General Ludendorff telegraphed placing tho outire grain supply from Roumnnia, Bessarabia and Ukraine at Austria’s disposal, while Hungary promised to send food supplies to Austria.

Order and authority are rapidly disappearing and pangs or hunger are disclosing the primitive trials of character. Processions of women are in the streets, demanding bread, or peace, Tho. precessions are gaunt, haggard and speefrew , ~ The sufferings of the children and their constant cries due to hunger arouse the mothers to fury. They are like a crowd of savages. When the butchers asked 25/- per lb for pork, crowds raided the ships. There have been numerous deaths from the result of eating war sausage?, made from bones. The cry for peace ia heard on all aides. The hatred of Germany is almost universal.

OABINET 'MAY RESIGN.r COPENHAGEN, June 23, Vienna advices state that owing to theunfriendly attitude of the Polish members of the Cabinet, M. Seidler, the Austrian Premier, is likely to insist upon the acceptance of its resignation, me Poles demand and the Government refuse the partition of Gaalcia. LONDON, June 24. The entire Austrian Cabinet has roeigned. THE! CABINET CRISIS, Received, this day at 8.45 a.m. LONDON, June 24. Although Herr Seidler’s resignation was constantly canvassed and had been the subject of many false reports and rumours, there seems little doubt that the whole Cabinet is now out of office. The “Daily Telegraph” says undoubtedly the defeat at the Piave river has helped to precipitate the crisis, but it is pointed out that the situation was already serious. The internal condition of Austro-Hungary is now in a state of complete chaos.
