June 2:5. .Miss Ellison .Macartney, daughter of the Governor, was thrown from a horse and succumbed to the injuries she received, STOCKMAN SPEARED TO DEATH. MELBOURNE, June 23. The Administrator of the Northern Territory reports that a .iitockman named McDonald, was speared to death by wild aboriginies. A police party pursued the aboriginies who rolled stones from the mountain. The police party shot seven dead and arrested one. The verdict was that the shooting was justifiable in self-defence.
