During May 43 returned officers were gazetted out, 1227 non-commissioned officers and men were discharged, and. 75 (all ranks) returned to duty. The total number of returned soldiers (including officers) at May 31st was 21, 262,’ comprising 19,550 of tbo Main Body and Reinforcements and 170 G Samoan.
