POLLARD’S PICTURES. On Thursday evening next Pollards will present a big double feature pro. gronime at the Princess Theatre.
No. 1 feature is Barrie Marsehell’s famous verse story in picture form tolling. of a New Zealand Timaru hero from his school days to the tremendously realistic stirring story as told by the writer (Barrie Marschcll) as the film unfolds. “The poem picturiscd” is the description given of the picture by critics. A Timaru boy enacts the rolo of the. “Kid,” whilst an exceedingly pretty New Zealand girl appears as the “Kid’s” sweetheart, ‘the ‘girl with the Irish eyes.” This picture poem has the unique record of filling 5 theatres in Auckland 4 theatres in Wellington, 2 theatres in Wellington, 2 theatres in Christchurch and 2at Dunedin. “The Kid from Timaru” will be screened during the first half of the display. No. 2. feature, “The Bond of Fear,” a five act Triangle Feature, presents tho Triangle’s new and great artist, Belle Bennett in her “screen debut.” She is supported by a strong cast of artists that includes Melbourne M’Dowcll of “Flame of tho-Yukon” fame and Roy Stewart, Triangle’s great now westerner, in place of W. S. Hart.
