ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE

At the above yards yesterday, the entry comprised 75 head of cattle and 150 fat sheep. There was the usual attendance of buyers, but notwithstanding competition was not brisk, and heel ranged on a par with prices ruling at the last fixture at the yard. Moss and Co. sold on account Mill. Adamson, 8 bullocks from £lO 10s to £l4 12s 6d ; two cows at £l2 15s; eleven heifers from £ll 7s 6d to £ll. Jeffries and Co. sold on account Mr ,T G. Meharry, eleven bullocks from £l(s 10s to £l3 15s, seven steers from £lO 15s to £7 17s Od; on account Air j Diodrioh, one bullock at £ll 15s, eight, heifers from £lO 17s Od to £B, one steer at £B, one stag at £8; on account H. Johnston, 2 bullocks at £l2, three cows from £lO 10,s to £9 1/s Gd, four suckers from £6 12s 6d to £3 3s Gd. On account Mr McNeill, nine land f steers .at £9 10s. Forty-five fat sheep at 355.

Messrs M. Houston and Co. report- ns follows: —Owing to the- very heavy entry in the three yards yesterday, competition was not brisk and prices were somowhat lower than at the previous sale. Our yarding consisted of 2i head, which were all disposed of at current values. . We sold on account of Mr H. Died,jch 2 bullocks at £ls 17s Gil, 2at £l3 ss. 4 at £l3, 2 at £l2 15s, 3 cows at £ll e light- heifers at £lO ss; on account of Mr T. Pryor 12 Forward steers at £ll ss.
