The “Central News” states that neutrals who had the opportunity of studying the conditions in Germany, say that the people aro dissatisfied with the result of the offensive, which Is far short of what has been promised. Their confidence is believed to be shocked, but despite the dearth of food and the consequent suffering there is no evidence of general unwillingness to be fed on the promises of victory, and th 0 advantages it will assure them, nor any faltering their will to continue the war, even at the price of much suffering. The military factor continues dominant aud so long ns the offensive holds and there are possibilities of a German success, economic privations will be cheerfully borne.
A POLISH PROTEST. AMSTERDAM June 16. During a suffrage debate in the Prussian Parliament, Koransky, a Polish Deputy declared that the suppression of the Polos forms part of the Prussian caste’s programme. The caste, he said had unchained the world’s hatred agmst Germany and is wanted to enslave the whole German people who will live at peace only when the Prussian caste s power is broken.
