Captain Mackenzie and sixteen of the crew of the Pinar Del Rio fought rough weather for twelve hours without food or water, in a small leaking boat, wliich, when picked up, was in a sinking condition, being nearly full of water. 'Their last flare attracted the attention of the rescuers.
