Sir Douglas Haig reports: As a result of an attempted enemy raid in the neighbourhood ef Marlaneourt, we took twenty-one prisoners.
THE AVIATION REPORT
LONDON, June 6.
Sir Douglas Haig’s aviation report states:—The weather was overcast and enemy aircraft were not active on Tuesday. We brought down one machine and drove down one. Wo 'dropped tons of bombs during tho day and night. There were no British losses. RAIDERS REPULSED. (Received This Dav nt 9.30. a.m.) LONDON, June C. At 12.35 p.m.. General Ilaig reported : Tho, enemy re-attempted to raid .south-westward of Morl&ncourt, but wore, repulsed with loss. Another party who rushed a post in the neigh bourhood of Boyelles were repulsed. There have lioon attempted raids northward of Bethune, and eastward of Nieppe Forrest. Hostile artillery was active in the Straticle sector.
