AJRAHURA FAT STOCK SALE

At the above yards yesterday Messrs W. Jeffries and Co offered by auction 05 fat sheep and 49 bead of cattle. Bidding was by no means animated and.in consequence there was no improvement in beef prices-compared with last fixture at these, yards. Sheep,, however, sold well. The following sales were effected.. On account of Mr Jones 8 heifers at £9 17 s fid; 3 cows at £8 l7s (id ; 5 heifers at £10; 4at £9 17s 6d; 10 at £9 15s. ' On account of MfR.A. Harcourt. 2 bullocks at £l 2 7s .fid; two ditto at £ll ss; 2-ditto at” £ll- 2s fid--3 ditto at £lO ss; 1 heifer at £lO 10s, 1 at £7 17s 6d. -’A On account Messrs Anderson Bros, two.. heifers at £8 17s fid ; 2 ditto at £9 17s fid; 1 ditto at £8 2s fidand. ] at £lO 2s fid. Houston and Co. report ns follows:*— We held our usual fixture at the above yards yesterday, our yarding comprising 40 head of cattle which were all cleared at satisfactory prices ■ a heavy weight on account of Mr H. Olderog ; 2 bullocks at £ll 2s 6d, 1 heifer at £lO 2s 6d, 1 cow at £9, fc at £9 10s’ 1 stag at £7 2s 6d, 1 at £8 os, 1 vealor at £5 ss, i at £4 12s 6d. 1 at £6 15a, 1 heifer at £8 12s 6d, 2 light steers at £9; on account of Mr 11.
