A GERMAN MESSAGE. LONDON, June 1. A. wireless German official report states that the Crown Prince has closely pursued the enemy, who retreated from the Ailette front to southward of the river Oise. ,
Proceeding across the river Ailette, the Germans captured the line through St. Paul, Frosly and Loire. We drove back the enemy in constant fighting, northward of Aisne via Bneuxy and Chnuigny. Tho French southward of Soissons brought forward cavalry, and infantry for violent counter-attacks, which were caught disastrously by our fire and defeated.
We hove crossed the Soissons-Hart-enner road.
French divisions were brought up to Frentardenois from the south-west, across the Marne, and from the southeast. These desperately counter-at-tacked, but were unable anywhere to successfully resist tho advance. Wo. pierced the enemy’s rear position at Archy and Grandrozy.
Wo have reached the Marne southward of Frentardenois.
We captured the heights of Champoisy, St. Gemmie and Romigny. We also took Girmigny, and Thillois, on the south hank of •the Vesle, to the westward of Rheims.
Prisoners are increasing continuously, we now have 45,000, over 400 guns, and a thousand machine guns have been taken.
SUCCESSES CLAIMED. LONDON, June 2.
A wireless German official report says we threw out the enemy 1 from strong positions near Cute and southward of Bleraucourt- northward of the Aisne. Wc reached Nuvaon Fontennoy. Desperate French counter attacks at Sois-sons-Hertemis road led to hitter £ghi~ ing which ended in our favour.
Wo pursued the enemy as far ns the Heights eastward of Chnnarm, Yierzy, and Blanchy, on both sides of the Ourcy. We crossed Soissons-Chateau Thierry road, reaching the heights of Nevilly and north ward of Chateau 'J'ierry reached the Marne between Chateau Thierry and eastward of Dormans. We advanced towards Vernevie Olizy-Sarcy-Cham-pagne lino and took prisoner several thousands on the 31st.
