In connection with the reported secret service discovery of German agents plotting with Sinn F'eiuers in the United States, with the object of promoting a rising in Ireland ; it is now stated that the agents plotted with Negroes and Lithunians to hamper the United states Government war activities, but failed. German money was freely spent m the efforts. It is reported unofficially, that the plotters intended to divert England’s military efforts from France. Many German communications were brought to United States, written in invisible ink and coded. It is reported that some Irish Radicals said ’ the plan was if General Ilindenburg reached the Channel ports, that Germany would .send troops, guns and ammunition to the Irish coast. A separate New York investigation has. been started. MORE ARRESTS. 'Received Tin- T ’-v D *>A n.m.l LONDON, May 23. Further arrests in Ireland Include P. F. Burke, the well known Sinn Feiner, and Mrs Thomas Clarke, widow of a rebel executed in Easter, 1916.
