MCLEAN'S PICTURES

“THE HAUNTED PYJAMAS.'.’—-TO-NIGHT. At Opera House to-night- Mr McLean will present- the latest Metro, “The Haunted Pyjamas,” featuring Harold Lode wood. As to the play itself it is probably the most, unusual photoplay of the season. Richard Hudson receives from a friend in China a pair of sun pyjamas—which unknown to Hudson are bewitched. The pyjamas have the property of transforming the wearer into someone else. Thev fit all wearers ami is soon as the top button is fastened the pyjamas change to black. Hudson becomes a Chinaman and causes trouble with his valet. The next to wear the fateful pyjamas is young Francis Billings, who is spending a night at Hudson’s. He changes to a pretty girl. Hudson is amazed on returning to It is rooms to find the girl j there, and quite at home and evidently | not embarrassed, for although the ap- ! pen ranee changes, the identity does not. \ (Jetting out of that difficulty another arises with big .lade, who changes into ' Colonel .'Kirkland, but is mistaken for a desperate character wanted by tinpolice. Complications arise all over the place, especially when Hudson meets the pretty girl. Further chapters of the serial “ Liberty,” a Travelogue and comedy complete a fine programme.
