NOTICES OF MOTION

1. The Chairman to move : “That the accounts for the month ot March, 1918, as revised and passed by the Finance Committee, amounting to £1442 7s pd, be now approved by tlie Council.” 2. The Chairman to move : “That the accounts for the month of April, 1918, as revised and recommended for payment by the Finance Committee, amounting to £ , be ’passed for payment.” 3. The Chairman to move; “That the Council now adopt the necessary motion' to borrow by way oi overdraft from the Bank of New Zealand, such overdraft to be secured by the revenue actually outstanding and payable at the 31-st March, 1919.”

4. The Chairman to move : “That a statement be prepared by the Treasurer for next ordinary meeting- showing the position of the separate Riding accounts lor the year ended March 31st last.; the estimated amount of the revenue and expenditure for the financial year now entered upon ; and the proposed allocation of the surplus amount over the separate Ridings ill the manner provided by the Counties Act and its amendments. ’ 5. Mr Bruce to move “ That the Government he urged ffs to the d< - sirabilitv in the interests of increasing traffic in South Westland, to provide at once for the bridging.of the Kakapotahi River on such site as may be considered most suitable to meet the needs of the general traffic.”
