POLITICAL CRISIS IN PRUSSIA

LONDON, May 2

The “Daily Chronicle’s’’ correspondent at Amsterdam states that the Prussian Diet, by 225 votes to 180, rejected the Equal Franchise Bill, thus causing a most serious political crisis.. The decision has infuriated the public.

The “Daily Chronicle’s” Amsterdam correspondent states the Piussian Diet’s rejection of one man one vote, by a huge majority, has caused a sensation and brings Herr Hertling face to face with a crisis which is bound to have a serious repercussion throughout Ge Govornment subsequently, announced that an immediate dissolution would not bo in the interests of the State, and indicated that it hoped to arrive .at a compromise. . . , There is a tremendous tension in the country.
